POSTCARDS

The time in which the kit was created was "an era of postcards" according to Pamela Harris, creator of The Women's Kit, During the early 1970s, purchasing art postcards was an inexpensive method of obtaining a quality reproduction. Pamela Harris often sent postcard reproductions of her own photographic artwork to other artists, and they replied in kind. When obtaining material for The Women's Kit, the creators had to find materials that were relevant, cheap, and easy to reproduce as they had a very small budget.
