HISTORICAL NEWSPAPERS

This section of The Women's Kit focuses on historical accounts of the suffrage movement in Canada and England. Suffragette Nell Hall-Humpherson provided many of the materials within this section. She had been incarcerated at Holloway Prison in England and donated the letters she sent from prison along with newspaper articles from the time of women's suffrage to the creators of the kit. Reproductions of these primary sources are supplemented by materials such as Movement Strategy and Women's Suffrage in Canada
